Reviving History: Introducing ArchlyReviving History: Introducing Archly

Hello, dear friends and visitors of Foresite,

Today, I'd like to share with you a dream that's been nestled in my mind for nearly a decade — a dream named Archly. It's a social app I've conceptualised, specifically catering to the vibrant communities of archaeology and history enthusiasts worldwide.

The Origin of Archly

The seed of Archly was sown long ago, amidst multiple attempts at creation, only to face hurdles like insufficient time and funds. However, the steadfast belief in my concept, combined with a deepening skillset and the backing of dedicated friends, has reignited the flame. The passion I've received from local archaeologists and the Web3 community has also given the dream new wings.

The Purpose of Archly

Despite a multitude of apps gracing our smartphones, a conspicuous gap persists: none serve the niche of archaeology and history lovers. With Archly, I aim to bridge this gap, offering a platform that's educational, engaging, and sociable.

Infused with the latest technology such as AR (GeoWeb), social protocols (Lens), encrypted messaging (XMTP), and more, Archly stands apart from the typical social apps.

The Archly Offering

From a library of user-generated content to a public directory of historical sites, Archly's features are varied and cater to both casual enthusiasts and dedicated archaeology buffs.

Users can create accounts with Web3 capabilities, engage in encrypted chats, and enjoy immersive AR experiences. They can share favourite sites, leave comments, and even mint NFTs upon visiting physical sites.

And that's not all! I'm also planning a premium tier with exclusive benefits like offsetting carbon with NFT minting and supporting charitable causes responsible for site maintenance.

A Plea for Your Support

Archly is not just an app. It's my dream to democratise the study of archaeology and inspire the archaeologists of tomorrow. But to bring Archly to life, I need your support.

I'm thrilled to announce that Archly has been selected for the Geo Web round on the Gitcoin quadratic funding platform. This gives you a chance to join this exciting journey and contribute to making Archly a reality. You can support this project by donating on our Gitcoin page.

Let's walk together in bringing Archly to life and creating a valuable platform for archaeology and history enthusiasts worldwide. I invite you to follow our progress and stay tuned for updates on this exciting venture.

Thank you for embarking on this journey with me. Here's to Archly and the love of archaeology!

🗺️⛏️

Best, Lux
